Due to the weather forecast for Sunday February 11, the scheduled club trap shoot has been CANCELLED The minutes for the Annual Meeting are available at 2024.02.01 MVSS Annual Meeting. Congratulations to continuing Board member Rick Richardson and incoming member Jason Browning on their elections to the Board. The Wednesday, February 7 club trap shoot was cancelled due to the weather. It is being postponed to Wednesday, February 14 at the same time. Because of the high wind forecast for Saturday, the 5-Stand field will open on Sunday, February 4, instead of Saturday. Hours will still be 9:00AM – Noon. We will be featuring our club trap shoots February 7 with a little different scheduling. Each month’s event will have two shoot dates. The final results for each month will be determined after the second shoot. This is being done in the hopes of attracting more trap shooters. The second shoot will be February 11. [read more] Mesilla Valley Shotgun Sports will hold its’ annual meeting on Thursday, February 1, 2023, at 6:30 PM, at the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish office, 2715 Northrise Drive, Las Cruces. This Sunday will be the first skeet club shoot of the year. We will open at 8:30 for registration and practice rounds. Would like to start 9ish.You will have a choice of shooting 50 or 100 rounds. The fees are $24 or $48 respectively. Remember all shooters are classed and handicapped. With over 90 youth competitors from all over New Mexico and over 30,000 targets thrown, trap plus handicap and doubles, skeet and skeet doubles, and sporting clays.
