Our Sporting Clays venue will be setup this coming Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 a.m. until Noon. Our Covid 19 precautions that have been previously published and are available at http://mesillavalleyshotgunsports.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Safety-Precautions-for-Re-opening-Shotgun-Range.pdf remain in effect.
The shotgun range will begin our usual hours of operation after June 15. So, the range will not open on Tuesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 18, but will open on Wednesday, June 17, Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21. After further discussions with the City Parks Director, we will have to change our times of operation to 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. So to recap, we will be open from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Saturday, and Tuesday (I got some volunteers), starting tomorrow May 28, 2020.

This is where we stand today. The city has opened the pistol bays on the Butterfield Shooting Range from 8-11 and 5-8 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. For now we will be allowed by the City to open the shotgun range on Thursdays (starting tomorrow, May 28) and Saturdays from 9-12. [read more]
The Southwestern Shotgunners Trap Club is open as of May 16, 2020.

As of this minute, the range will not open this weekend. In discussions with the City, we might be allowed to open on May 28 with restrictions. We don’t know what those restriction might be as of now. We submitted to the City the attached safety precautions that we propose to use when we re-open. [read more]

There has been no change to the closure of the Butterfield Shooting Range. The NM Governor’s recent modification to her lockdown order does not allow for the opening of the range according to the City. Next opportunity will be May 15. We will see what happens then.
