As of this minute, the range will not open this weekend. In discussions with the City, we might be allowed to open on May 28 with restrictions. There has been no change to the closure of the Butterfield Shooting Range. The NM Governor’s recent modification to her lockdown order does not allow for the opening of the range according to the City. Next opportunity will be May 15. We will see what happens then.
Hello everyone,
We hope you and yours are safe and healthy.

We will not have a monthly meeting this week as we would normally have on Thursday, April 2.
The entire Butterfield Trail Shooting Range (rifle, pistol, and shotgun), along with all other parks, has been closed by the City of Las Cruces at the order of the governor until further notice.
The club skeet shoot for February that was rescheduled for tomorrow, March 8, has been canceled. We plan on opening the range for recreational shooting unless the weather is too bad.
Due to the Youth Shoot occurring Saturday March 7, there will be no recreational Trap and Skeet that day.
Assistance is needed for the Youth Shoot. I need a couple of people at all four trap fields and all four skeet fields to pull, score and be safety observers. We also need help with the lunch preparation. If you are able to help, please email Joe at MVShotgunSports@comcast.net
