Hello everyone,
We hope you and yours are safe and healthy.
We have been watching the news, the updates and projected deadlines. CDC mandates social distancing, and Texas 4-H has no activities planned whatsoever until at least May 4th. We were hoping to hear good news by then.
However, today, there was some bad news in order to keep us all safe. And due to the City of El Paso Stay-Home Work-Safe ordinance being extended, we have had to postpone our 17th Annual Benefit Shoot. Due to the El Paso Skeet and Trap Club not being ‘essential’, it will also not be opened until cleared by the city to do so.
With these two bits of information combined, DV4H ALA has decided not to cancel- but to postpone the Benefit Shoot that was scheduled to take place on May 9th, 2020, with no new set date as of now. Please download or screenshot the attached flyer and disseminate it to everyone you know through all forms of social media – including mass text messages. We need to try to reach everybody who may know somebody that would come out and shoot. Please have everyone keep an eye on the DV4H facebook page for updates.
Your ALA would still like to encourage you to sell raffle tickets – but do it electronically. Have those who wish to buy tickets send you money through cashapp, paypal or even facebook. Go old school if you have to and do it via snail-mail. Send them a picture of their filled out raffle ticket(s) and let them know they can pick it up on the day of the shoot. Whenever that may be. We will still be taking ammo donations if you have them, a porch drop off will be worked out.
