Mesilla Valley Shotgun Sports will open the 5 Stand field this Saturday,
May 7, from 9:00 AM until noon.

We had 12 shooters in attendance including three of our junior shooters. Laughs around but two of the juniors won theclasses they were shooting in, plus one of them also took the Calcutta. The wind was reasonable but enough to give some of the adults an excuse.

The skeet range may be very busy with 4H and high school youth shooters and Senior Olympics. Fields may not be available until later in morning. Preston will strive to update this situation should it improve.

We would like to start a trap club shoot once a month, similar to the skeet club shoots that have been in operation for 3 years. Instead of doing handicaps for trap there would be classes AA-D. MVSS will open its sporting clays field this Saturday, March 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Cost is $40 for 100 targets, $20 for 50 targets.

We’ll be having Sporting Clays the third Saturday of every month from now until October, with the exception of August which will be on the second Saturday.
