The howling gusts almost cancelled the noise of the gunfire. We had 8 go for it shooters who were New Mexico true competitors. 3 classes had shoot offs A won by Tom Pitcavage, B won by Dorothy Proffitt and D won by youth shooter Emily Massey. MVSS will open its sporting clays field this Saturday, May 21, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Cost is $40 for 100 targets, $20 for 50 targets.
We have a skeet field down waiting parts and our Skeet Club Shoot is Sunday. We may not be able to accommodate any non skeet club shoot shooters until 10:30 or so as we don’t know the amount of participation the shoot will attract. Sorry for the inconvenience

MVSS will hold its May business meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 5, at the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish office, 2715 Northrise Drive, Las Cruces.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Mesilla Valley Shotgun Sports will open the 5 Stand field this Saturday, May 7, from 9:00 AM until noon.
The May club trap shoot was mistakenly scheduled for Mother’s Day. It has now been moved to May 15.
We had 12 shooters in attendance including three of our junior shooters. Laughs around but two of the juniors won theclasses they were shooting in, plus one of them also took the Calcutta. Our first trap club shoot went well even with the winds. We had 9 shooters, Fritz with a 48 didn’t notice the wind, other shooters suffered.
