Open Skeet Shooting

Due to schedule change in our registered skeet shoot tomorrow there will not be any practice field available

We should have one field available this Saturday and Sunday for skeet shooters who are not participating in the registered skeet shoot.

May Club Skeet Shoot Report

The howling gusts almost cancelled the noise of the gunfire. We had 8 go for it shooters who were New Mexico true competitors. 3 classes had shoot offs A won by Tom Pitcavage, B won by Dorothy Proffitt and D won by youth shooter Emily Massey. Sporting Clays Saturday

MVSS will open its sporting clays field this Saturday, May 21, from 9:00 AM  to 12:00 PM.

Cost is $40 for 100 targets, $20 for 50 targets.

Skeet Sunday May 22

We have a skeet field down waiting parts and our Skeet Club Shoot is Sunday. We may not be able to accommodate any non skeet club shoot shooters until 10:30 or so as we don’t know the amount of participation the shoot will attract. Sorry for the inconvenience

May Club Trap Shoot

A great success we had 11 shooters and all had some laughs and frowns. We had shooters in classes A thru D and a total of $77 was awarded. A class did have a 3 way shoot off with a youth shooter Tyler out lasting two old pro’s. Hope to see more of you next [read more]

May Monthly Meeting

MVSS will hold its May business meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 5, at the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish office, 2715 Northrise Drive, Las Cruces.

Everyone is invited to attend.

5 Stand

Mesilla Valley Shotgun Sports will open the 5 Stand field this Saturday,
May 7, from 9:00 AM until noon.

May Club Trap Shoot Moved to May 15

The May club trap shoot was mistakenly scheduled for Mother’s Day.  It has now been moved to May 15.

April Skeet Shoot Report

We had 12 shooters in attendance including three of our junior shooters. Laughs around but two of the juniors won theclasses they were shooting in, plus one of them also took the Calcutta. The wind was reasonable but enough to give some of the adults an excuse.
