Sunday October 22 we held our trap and skeet club championship for 2023.
We had 6 trap shooters with a purse of $30 ish for champ and each class winners A—D. After a shoot off the champion was Dorothy, A Carl, B Phil, C-Mike, and D-Rich. Come on we need more trap shooters.
Skeet was well attended 13 shooters but we could do better. The purse money was in the $140 area for champ and each class winners A-D. Skeet had a lot more participation in the monthly shoots. Skeet event champ went to Rich after defeating Colton in a shoot off. Colton won A class with a 99. B-Phil C-Mike winning after a shoot off. D was not awarded and the prize money went by crowd consensus to the Bullseye group (the local youth group that shoots so much at our range).
On top of that several attendees made personal donations. So that you are aware that during the course of the year donations have been made by several club members for the youth shooters. The Bullseye group wishes to thank all who have contributed to youth shooting.
I was remiss Sunday on thanks yous, Tom who always helps pull and or score,Kalab and Emily who pulled, Dorothy our pie lady? and Brock who made sure we were fed. The club presented Mike Slugaj with a congratulations plaque for being recognized by the Nation Skeet Shooting Association for shooting 50,000 registered targets. I want to say thank you to I all of you who participate in the clay target shooting at the range. If I’ve missed someone I am truly sorry. Preston
