As you may know, several of the Mesilla Valley Shotgun Sports members are also associated with New Mexico Quail, and as such, would like you to know that the NM Quail annual banquet is being held on October 21, 2016 at the Elks lodge beginning at 6:00 pm. Many great silent auction items will be available including an English Pointer pup with a great blood line and a custom handcrafted knife by Keith Hettinga. As part of our fundraising effort, we are having a raffle for a chance to win a 3 person one day guided quail hunt on the Armendaris Ranch or the Ladder Ranch, both of which are Ted Turner properties. The hunt will include transportation on the ranch in a custom Hummer hunt wagon, dogs, and guides. This is really a once in a lifetime hunt. $100 per chance. The first name drawn will have their choice of which ranch to hunt and the second name drawn with hunt the other ranch. Drawing will be held on November 4, 2016 and the hunt will be during the November 15, 2016 to February 15, 2017 New Mexico quail season. We normally sell around 50 tickets in this annual raffle to give you an idea of your chance to win. Tickets for the banquet and the raffle tickets may be purchased on the nmquailinc Facebook page, sending email to nmquailinc@gmail.com, at Trophy Country, or calling John at 575-644-3936 or Joe at 575-642-2072.
