This last weekend, Friday January 12, Saturday the 13th, and Sunday the 14th, MVSS hosted the biggest shoot ever held at our range. With over 90 youth competitors from all over New Mexico and over 30,000 targets thrown, trap plus handicap and doubles, skeet and skeet doubles, and sporting clays. Our local group that many of you have supported finished the marathon weekend with some outstanding shooting.
The competition was divided into two age groups, Senior and Junior Varsity. Our group scored first place JV Team Skeet Doubles, first place JV Team Skeet, first place JV Team Trap, and first place Senior Team Skeet.
Emily Massey (JV Ladies) was first place Trap Handicap.
Lilly Jaramillo (Senior Ladies) was second place Skeet.
Juliet Martinez (JV Ladies) was second place Trap Singles, second place Trap Handicap, first place Skeet, first place Skeet Doubles, third place Sporting Clays, and first place HOA.
Emma Jaramillo (JV Ladies) was first place Trap, first place Trap Handicap, second place Skeet, second place Skeet Doubles, second place Trap Doubles, third place Sporting Clays, HOA Trap, and HAA top JV Ladies Shooter.
Josiah Martinez (Varsity) took third place Skeet, third place Skeet Doubles, second place Sporting Clays, and HAA Top Senior Shooter of the weekend.
Forest Browning (JV) was second place Trap, second place Skeet, first place Trap Doubles, third place Sporting Clays, HOA Trap, HOA Skeet, and HAA Top JV Shooter for the weekend.
